Brokernote is designed to handle the most common formats received from insurers.
Supported Formats
- PDF (.pdf): The standard format for most insurance schedules. We support both standard and password-protected PDFs.
- Word (.docx): Standard Microsoft Word documents.
- Rich Text (.rtf): A common export format from older insurance systems.
- Sunrise Text (.txt): Raw text files exported from the Sunrise system. These reformat exceptionally well, turning plain text into structured tables and headings.
Unsupported Formats
- .doc: The older Word 97-2003 format is not supported. Please save these as .docx before uploading.
- Image Files (JPG, PNG): scanned images of documents cannot be processed at this time.
